Lookin at some pouch type sheaths over at JRE. The Bark River Bravo 1 is really similar in size and shape to the Boss Street. Any idea of a prefab Bravo 1 pouch sheath will fit the Boss Street. Appreciate any insight.

The bravo 1 sheath is pretty crappy IMO. Id check out a sheath by chuddybear (chuck) he does awesome work:

No. It wont' fit.

What's the limiting factor? They have the same blade length, almost the same handle length, nearly the same thickness and width. What keeps the BS from fitting in that sheath?

I got a sharpshooter sheath for my BRKT Kephart which I'm gonna test fit. But I have a feeling it will be too small for the chunky Busse goodness.

I'm sorry. I was thinking hte kydex sheath. The pouch sheath might fit. The handle on the B1 is much thicker. But a leather pouch may adjust to fit.

I'm dropping off my Boss Street with the JRE boys tomorrow morning.

You could drop Spen or Dan and email and ask them to compare the two once they've got it.

What are you getting made for it? If you're getting a Bushcraft style with firsteel loop maybe they could just make two...

Not really looking for anything that fancy. Just a pouch to hold my knife. I own a Chuddy Bear and it's fantastic workmanship. But I hate to get it scratched up and dinged it's so pretty. I need something cheap that I can beat up. A work sheath. Not a work of art.

I put one of my Boss Streets into kydex made for the Bravo1, just had to heat it up a bit and remold the retention at the opening, rest was a great fit.

I plan on talking with Spen a bit before making the final decision but I think that may be the way I'm headed. The other option is the Cricket since I don't have one of those yet. :)

Tried BOSS St in Bravo 1 leather sharpshooter sheath and it did not fit. The front talon hole was the limiting factor.

Thanks, guys. Choices choices, I swear sheaths and holsters are a big decision LOL.

It took me an extra day but I dropped off my BOSS Street this morning.

I went with the bushcraft sheath with the firesteel loop.

Dan and Spen were both there when I showed up and I watched 'em pass the knife back and forth, rolling it from hand to hand, trying it in various grips, and checking the edge.

I'm not sure I'm going to get this one back. :D

They were getting ready for a trip (PWYP) so I didn't get Spen to jump right on it today but he's going to take a look at his Bravo-1 template to see how close the two are.
