So, when they came out, I bought a BOSS Street. Awesome blade, awesome handle, just a great knife. However, I prefer my users uncoated, but I like to use them a bit first, as I do not like to start grinding on a new blade. I was planning to strip and convex the edge, but just never got around to doing it because I hadn't used it yet.

Then I saw 230grains post(thanks!) of his user for sale, stating that the edge was way worn down from repeated sharpenings. Perfect I thought, as I planned to convex the edge until the choil was gone anyway.

So, I purchased 230grains BOSS Street(thanks again). Usually I strip the blade before grinding, but I could not find my stripper, and I was in a hurry, so out came the coarse belts. It cleaned up so well that I did not take it all the way past the choil. I plan to use it awhile, then continue to mod it in steps.

Stage 2 will probably be to strip off the rest of the coating, and grind on the edge some more.

After using it for a while, I will know if I need a Stage 3 for handle/butt mods.

Here are some before pics, its on the right next to the new one.

Looks really nice, great job and the Busse logo's still intact.:thumbup:

Looks nice with the bare blade and the coating still on the dimples and decarb. That'll work.

Nice job on the BOSS, looks like it will cut a little better with that full convex grind.

Update: Brought it into work, used it on some boxes, plastic pallet banding, plastic pallet wrap, etc.

Results: It's a slicer! I abused it a little, it still shaves! I will have to hold off on the batoning of the frozen wood until next year, everything is thawed out here now....

That Infi's some awesome steel. You can beat the heck out of it and it'll still shave hair when your done
