Calling all HOGs!

I was late to the Boss Street game but scored two .22" hollow ground Black Paper Boss Streets in the CupidGanza.:thumbup:

I know it didn't happen without pictures (later!!), but I'm so impressed with everything about this knife. The workmanship is as good as any knife I own (and I own quite a few) and the feel in-hand is fantastic -- so solid and secure. As much as I like the Meaner and BAD, the Boss Street is the new #1 smaller Busse IMHO. GREAT handle and grip. If the Boss Jack handle is similar it, too, will be a classic.

Both cardboard sheaths say, "Inspected by 73" and "Sharpened by Garth", something I'd never seen before.

So ... Thanks to you Garth and the Busse team for a great knife. If any of you passed on the Boss Street, I can't recommend it enough. And no, Busse does not pay me to say this. :D

Almost forgot the point of this post :o: Any sheath suggestions for the Boss Street? Thanks.

John

I carry my hollow-ground BS in a Chuddy Bear drop-loop sheath with an "X" on the back that fits a 1.5" belt. Most of the time, I high-ride it with the belt through the X, and the extra material of the drop-loop acts like a sweat shield.

Sometimes, like today, I low-ride it through the loop.

For Kydex, David Brown (Buybrownholsters.com) is probably my first on a list of many great makers. He has a short turn around and is a great guy!!! Awesome warranty just like Busse!

MashedCat sheaths have always been great! I have loved all of theirs I have owned. They contacted me based on a photo, and asked if I wanted them to custom fit a sheath of theirs I had to better fit a modded knife I had, even though bought it from some one else. That is great customer service!

I had an Azwelke sheath I was very impressed with! Great fit and finish at a very reasonable price.

Okuden has a great rep.

SteelNut makes a great sheath from all reports as well.

For leather, there are many great options.

Chuddy Bear makes great sheaths.

Leatherman, mikeymoto? SBronson all make great sheaths.

I have all azwelke sheaths for my Boss Street and all my swamp rats. love them! usually has them in stock so no sending the knife in and prices are great, snap in tight also so very secure. highly reccomend them:thumbup:

I got lucky on this... I have a great Mashed Cat sheath for my BS proto, and it also fits my hollow ground BS from the Easton Trunk Show (same as the Ganza hollow ground BOSS Streets with the black paper handles).
