I bought this BOSS Street a couple years ago when they were actually on Busse's website along with the BWM. They are the only two Busse's I've owned and honestly I was never real impressed with either. I thought the edge on the BOSS was too obtuse and the coating made it difficult to do fine cutting. So it got tossed in the gun safe and forgotten about.

About a week ago I got a wild hair and decided to see if I couldn't help this thing out. A lot of sandpaper and time later and I had this. I'm liking it so much I made a quick sheath for it outta scrap Kydex. I make holsters for concealment and competition purposes and literally this was a piece of scrap that was almost the perfect size. Don't criticize the sheath too much, I do no finish work to it. I just wanted to test a design idea, and so far I'm digging it. Let me know what you think of both.

Welcome, I like what you did to the BS and Im sure its a lot nicer now all satin:)

I think you will need to bring your sheath more to the front of abdomen to carry. Although, i like what you did and even tried that too. It just never worked for me walking through the woods. THe handle will snag every thing you walk by in its current postion. YMMV

Good call. I think I'm going to make another sheath with more room in the belt loop to fit my belt where it doubles over. this will allow me to pull it in closer to my centerline (pommel inline with the zipper on my jeans) and hopefully make it less prone to dislodge when out walking in the woods as you mention.

I also see that it's hard to tell from the pics that I did a zero grind convexing (or at least my novice attempt). This may be better:

I'm working on my Chopweiler now. The hollow grind is kicking my butt for the convexing. I coulda sworn it was flat/saber ground before I started removing material. Any ideas on a sheath design?
