Mike,
I am surprised and sorry that you felt it necessary to lock our previous thread, I would have preferred to communicate by email but that didnt seem to work.

I don't want a refund, I bought a knife, I just want to know when you are going to deliver. I don't think that's unreasonable?

The point was I am moving house on 17th May and wouldnt want my long awaited order to be lost, that isn't unreasonable is it?
Regards
Chris

I think it would help you out to tell us what thread he lock out. that way everyone can see the whols story. both sides.

Great talking to you my friend

Mike seems to have a problem with priorities. If you paid for a knife a year ago and only paid 120 for it, his reasoning seems to be that you got it so cheap that its not worth getting after and finishing while others are happily paying more for the same knife.
A month ago he was a Gangsta, today he's a Cowboy... Next month..???
At the beginning of the year he was only making one-off knifes and auctioning them off to rich collectors... today he's stamping out Crisis cards and selling them for 3 times their worth, no more auctions...
He's got new friction folder designs coming out like crazy but he's to busy to finish someones easy little Boss ordered 6 months ago... cool! (would probably take him an afternoon to make)
And we the buyers wait at our mailboxes in hope...
No emails, no phone calls....that's good business!
The Best Knife Builder in the World he says....
maybe in his mind...
How long is fair Mike?
Our money is as good as anyones.... We just want what we asked for...
When I finally got my last Snody I was anything but excited, I waited so long, by the time I got it it looked like a toy, it was far from perfect and such a let down because of extreme amount of time it took.
But outa RESPECT we continue to admire such a man.
Good luck people. I know I'm done.

Thanks for joining BF to attack my family business.
First Post and it is very transparent.
Still hung up on the Gangsta Thing?
You have already been banned from two forums for attacking me bro.
I know who you are dude so why not use your Real Name?
Probably because your "Real Name" carries less weight than an Anonymous Screen Name.
You have destroyed your credibility man..

Just to put my 2cents in. Mike is only human, I have never had him not answer my calls. If something fails to be @ Mike's level of perfection and its brought to his attention I have no doubt the man wouldn't do his best to make it right. Again the guy is only human and that's what's great about custum knives. If someone gets tired of waiting on something hand made... let him know. I have known Mike for about 18yrs or more. He was a good friend of my family before going back to Tx. I have several knives and hope to purchase many more. I don't mind the wait.
Great guy
Awesome knives!
Thanks Mike for your gift of knife making!

Thanks for posting my young homie.

The guy named BobbySharp aka Canablade is a troll with two user accounts and both have been banned.

He never purchased a knife from me. He is posting under two different user names with a clear agenda.

This goes with the territory, I am on the KA-BAR design team and they are in the process of introducing several Snody Designs.

I am working with the largest Hunting and Outdoor Distributor in the World and today they emailed the SnodyKnives ad flyer to over 5,000 dealer accounts.

Ka-Bar is at the NRA Convention in Houston this week and they will be travelling to Corpus Christi to spend a few days in my shop next week.

I am working tirelessly to revive the tradition of American Manufacturing and some people do not like that. BobbySharp does not like that.

Last time we talked on the phone I told you I had changed direction and one of the changes is I will no longer engage trolls.

It is not worth it to argue with them or disrespect my forum members by lowering my self to their level regarding the ad hominem comments.

It only takes one click to Ban Them and with the Next Click I am able to Spend Time With My Real Friends Like You.

He is my "Stan" and your my "Fam".

Huge Respect from Texas.

I got a good laugh out of this one. Selling a crisis card for 3 times their worth????? Do you even have any clue about current rates professionals charge? I'm a professional myself although in a completely different field, I work in the oil and gas industry and my current charge out to the oil company is $115 / hour regular and overtime is charged at $152.5 / hour. How long do you think it takes to make a crisis card, package it and then send it out to the customer? Even getting a good assembly line going it would be more than a few hours, so do you think Mike should be working for 20 bucks an hour? He's a professional and should charge accordingly! Myself I probably wouldnt get out of bed for 20 bucks an hour and I think the crisis card and the boss were a bargain.

Anyways thats my rant haha! Just thought it might shed some light to all the people who are just flipping burgers and have no clue about the real cost of professional manpower these days!!

I think the point trying to be made is not if the Boss is a bargain.
If I read the above writers complaint, it sounds like the time involved to get the bargain (especially if the item is advertised "in stock"), and the perhaps lack of communication along the way may have been the reason for this un-satisfied customer.
On another note, flipping burgers may not earn someone the income your getting but it shouldn't count against someone's intellect. I happen to know a couple of douche nozzles that work in the oil and gas industry that couldn't tie their own shoe laces but make the same wages as you.

Sorry if that came off he wrong way, the "flipping burgers" comment was more geared towards the "kids" purchasing mikes gear ( don't see too many adults doing that now days ) and the fact that most feel they always get overcharged for something custom. It wasn't meant to be an attack on anyone's intellect but just to point out what professionals actually charge in any type of industry. The poster I was quoting originally seems to be looking for more to complain about than his original problem with the sale. You are right though, way too many "douche nozzles" in my industry :)

Thanks Bro.
The dude is a troll who was banned for having multiple accounts.
He is a hater who wants to hurt my business.
He never bought a knife for me.
The problem is I have been doing this for 16 years and I sell about 1,000 knives per year.
One hater who fabricates a story vs tens of thousands of satisfied clients.

You are spot on regarding the Crisis Cards.
If I could purchase them at 1/3 retail I would never build another.
Have a great week and thanks for watching my back.
Much Respect.
