I am back from my hunting trip. I put the pup in my pocket to see how it did on a typical trip. When I received it, it was a little gritty to open. Had a good edge on it.
I used it for cutting twine, food prep, whittling(sp), cutting rope, and decapping my muzzle loader. The edge held fairly well, but I did have to touch it up. The clip came loose after the second day, but I was able to tighten it down. It has a little side to side blade play, but I think it can be tightened down.
I have fairly large hands and had a tendency to have my index finger drift up on the handle and then over the lip for grip. The liner lock started a bit to the left, but now goes to the middle of the blade. It locks up well and has no up and down play.
I like this knife. I think it is a good knife for the price. My only real criticism would be the clip. It is somewhat thin and ugly for me. It also loosened rapidly.
I am forwarding it with another trade for another member to evaluate. I am not a great writer, but I think I hit the highlights.
