Boston Laws?

Despite spending all my youth in Boston I never really paid any attention to the knife laws. I still visit family in the area, what are the knife laws there?

2.5" maximum blade length, open or concealed carry, within Boston and some of its suburbs (Revere, Beverly, Salem and Lynn). Not sure about Cambridge, though. Exceptions are made for longer blades carried for employment or sporting use. Penalty for violations are arrest and $300 fine, plus a permanent CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) criminal record.
