This is an improvised trap for fish, there are larger versions, but this is what can you do with some plastic bottles, a knife, bread/bait and some paracord or string for recovery.

come back in an hour or so,

That's pretty cool I never would have thought of that its' the same principle that expensive store bought minnow traps use I may have to try this.
