I haven't bought a classic Buck knife in a while, and wanted to know if the leather belt sheath is made in the USA? Thank you!

Probably Mexico, although they do have a leather 110 sheath for some models that is made in Tacoma, WA.

I hope the Tacoma operation will expand to provide more sheaths.

Enjoy your 112!

Thank you....and I will! I needed something to replace my 110 when I send it out for spa treatment. Are the mexico sheaths any good?

Yes, I just got a couple of 112s for me and my son for Christmas. The sheaths do have a sticker on them that reads "Mexico". They look to be well put together though. See picture below. I've read that historically, Mexico was well known for it's leather goods. Have no idea if the reputation carries over to the present day.

They've been making the sheaths there (Mexico) for quite a few years now. I'd assume that if there were quality issues we would hear about it here and I never have.
