I really like this one, just received it in the mail today from a fellow member so
I can only give my initial impressions.

Great fit and finish here, strong lock up centered blade no real bladeplay ETC.
definitely a quality piece. I love the detail BM put into the scales there are no sharp edges and it feels very natural in my hand, the slim profile makes for a comfortable and unobtrusive pocket carry for a knife this size.

It opens lightening quick with just a slight flick of the thumb as I'm sure you
all would assume it would.
This is my first assisted opener so I was impressed ;) Pretty nifty.

The only problem I have with it so far is the pocket clip. It doesn't clip down
as securely as I'd like in my jeans, just sort of slides in and out. very similar to my BM 630's clip in that respect. I don't really like the style of some of the new clips BM's coming out with, oh well, minor gripe.

Great lookin knife there Russ. I just wish BM would do tip up carry on framelocks and linerlocks, and wish you could take the spring out of it. Other then that it felt like a great knife. Lightweight and I like the design of it

Very cool. The Subrosa has been near the top of my Benchmade "to buy" list, so I'm looking forward to hearing more about what you and others think of it.

Glad she got there safely.

ROBB- not easily that I saw. It's not the bar that is on the Nitrous, but it's more of the dual action of the liners with a cross beam. You might be able to if you try hard enough though.

This knife has a Nitrous Assist System, so conversion to manual should be similar to liner lock Nitrous. Except in this case you wouldn't only remove bar, but also the two titanium inserts from the inside of frame slabs.

I like the looks of it. Is there anyway the AO can be removed ?

The AO can be removed very easily. I had one of these to try and the owner allowed me to try it manually. You simply take the lock side scales off to expose the torsion bars. Take the roller bar out from between the torsion bars and then put the knife back together. The torsion bars will remain in the knife and are held in place by the screws. It works very nicely as a manual folder.

Hope this helps

That's a great looking knife. Thanks for the comparison picture.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

I think this one's a winner and Benchmade will probably sell a ton of them.
The blade profile reminds me of the 710 a little, love the recurve.

Sweeeeet. That's good to know. So if you want to make it an assisted opener again you can right?
