Knife hunting yesterday in PA, and came across a whole bunch of traditional knives. Buck 103, old Case Finn hunter, old Remington jack (Remington or PAL, not Camillus or Bear), well used Case peanut and a Camillus scout knife with the old style can opener blade. All were a little too pricey for me, except for the peanut, I narrowed it down to the Camillus and the peanut.
I have a Camillus jack, and a Camillus daddy barlow with number markings on the main blades, but there aren't any markings on this scout knife. Really nice jigged bone scales, I thought it might have been stag at first.
The tip on the peanut's smaller blade was broken off, and the main blade looks like it has been sharpened into a sheepsfoot, but it is still serviceable. My father doesn't like too much pull in a blade, and likes the small pen blades, so this one is getting sharpened and will be his birthday gift later this month.
It's always fun finding these old knives, with a lot of life left in them, at the junk/antique shops.
