Bought a ESEE RC3 MIL!

This model was the first ESEE I bought and I think it's a great knife. If you 're looking for a sturdy, functional blade with a great warranty, you've found it. I like the way it feels in my hand, and the -mil model has a few sheath options depending on how you set it up. I think you will NOT be disappointed.

Is the MIL designated knife different from other RC-3's?

The -mil has the coarser canvas micarta handles, a black blade, and a sharpened pommel, along with the molle back sheath. Aside from the handles, which are also on the desert tan standard rc3, its just the sharpened pommel, same knife really. Handles are great!

the MIL has a much thinner blade (spine) then the regular 3p..

They're both ground from 1/8" 1095, do you mean the clip point knives? Not all esee3-mil knives are clip point, but all clip points are -mil I think. :)

Almost perfect. The only improvement i can think of would be to have busse style handle tubes and maybe straighten out the handle a bit. I really don't like convex handles.

Nope.. it's the same.

I love my 3 Mil. Carry it every day.

The 3 is possibly my favorite of ESEE's lineup, the 1/8" thickness works so nice, and the 1095 its made from is still nice and tough. This blade made me seriously reconsider my preference for thick fixed blades
