Howdy!
I ran across a couple of Camillius made M3 fighting knives a few days ago. What a nice knife! I have always wanted one, after seeing them in so many WW2 movies, as well as in books.
For a milspec knife, the finish is well above average; the handle very well turned out.
Very well made. seems very heavy duty. They did a nice job on the sheath, as well. The whole knife\sheath package has that great 'new leather' smell to it, which my Wife noticed as soon as they came home.
For those of you who do not have one yet, I highly recommend them. Very inexpensive piece of history.

It's a cool knife, a real military classic. I had one with a blued blade and gold lettering... a special issue of some sort. Maybe Camco will comment on it.

Camillus proudly made many, many military knives. Millions I'd guess.
Note: second from the bottom, left hand side, is the only military issue 'texas toothpick' (emergency fishing knife) which just happens to be my favorite pattern.

I have always liked the 'toothpick' pattern, myself. I have a few by several makers that I carry from time to time.

I have had the M3 on my coffe table for several days now. it really is a nice looking blade.
I believe I saw some on the legs of some of the guys in 'band of brothers'.
