Actually my mom bought it for me and surprised me with it. Its a Victorinox Super Tinker and so far it looks to be a good knife. Only 19.00. Just thought I would share.

If this is just the start of a Swiss Army Knife affliction, slide over to the Multitools & Multipurpose Knives forum with your wallet out and credit card in hand. :D

Very nice. I have just the reg ol Tinker myself. Can't go wrong with a SAK.

Vic SAKs are one of the great bargains in the knife world. Congrats on a great knife.

Really a nice, well made and useful knife at a great price.
It should serve you well for many years.

My first knife ever was a Victorinox Tinker for Christmas when I was 10. I had asked my parents for a solid half year to get me one as my father had one and I loved it when I got to use it. I have carried a knife on me ever since that fateful Christams morning 14 years ago. While my knife collection now is much larger and has shifted to other styles, I still have that Tinker and carry it whenever I travel overseas. Great knife.

Keep an eye (and lanyard) on that and you'll have it for MANY years to come.
It will also be the first of many SAKs you'll likely own...

Enjoy and be sure to thank your Mom again!

Regards,
Mike

love my super tinker ,,carry it everyday now for over 3 years ,,has seen some use on a daily basis,,still going strong ,,

yeah, the SAK Tinker is a solid knife & very useful. I gave the groomsmen at my wedding each one w/ translucent blue scales, over 6 years ago and of course had to get myself one as well. I've carried it quite a bit since then. Love the phillips driver instead of the corkscrew.

I have a good collection of SAK but my dad had bypass surgury 1 month ago and I have been helping them out alot and she just up an bought it for me. She knows I collect knives, Yeah shes a nice mom. I have the Mechanic SAK and the only difference between it and the Super Tinker is, the Mech. has pliers. So now I have both. My favorite SAK still is my Rucksack though. Now if the Rucksack had a pocket clip, and scissors, then that would be the perfect SAK.

I said I had a Mechanic SAK but I was wrong. It is called a Deluxe Tinker. Having the pliers takes it from a Super Tinker to a Deluxe Tinker. Now I have both.
