Bought a 2010 Jeep Wrangler today. Ol' red ( "95 Dakota) has seem better days. Being a 4 by. I'll be able to get to places I couldn't before, and keep my gear dry. Any other folks here have one ?

Cool car.

Thanks. I was trying to fix that link. This is my first brand new vehicle ( I'm 47), so it's long overdue. I wanted something that I can take in the bush with my family with a canoe on top. I think it'll do the trick ! I'm stoked :D

I'd put a winch on that thing. Never know when/if you'll need it.

Jeep is redesigning the Grand Cherokee for 2011. It is going to be larger and wider. Because of this 2010 is the last year of the Commander. I was hoping to get a new Jeep by the end of the year but I think I'll wait until the new GC's arrive. That Wrangler is nice. Did you get the Rubicon package or the JK package?

Hi Ken. It's the JK package. (incl. removable hard top, air-con, Sirius satellite radio.) It's gonna slow down the knife buying for a while !)

I really need this vehicle, as they don't clear the roads well here in the winter, and my forays into the bush with my old truck were risky at best ( getting stuck, etc.) There's a fair amount of cargo space, which is why I chose the 4 dr., because of the family and the canoe I usually carry.

Great looking vehicle! Congrats. Having a really new car is always exciting. ;)

I love Jeeps. I still miss my 2000 Cherokee. When my son permanently "remodeled" it, I bought a 2004 Wrangler. Instant love.
I like the new models, much wider but still feels like a Jeep. I will probably get a newer model Wrangler as my next vehicle.

Yippee !!!:D

Picked her up today! What an awesome truck. I'm really impressed.
Got to get a locking gas cap and hood locks tomorrow, though. Didn't come with those, but it has a factory alarm. Super smooth ride and great traction.
No more worries going to the bush ( or snowstorms.) I'll miss my old red Dodge Dakota , but not for long !!

Awesome! Glad you ended up with a Wrangler, I got my 09 in October of 2008 and have not had a single problem with it. I've still got the stock tires and rims on it and it's amazing how well these things can do in trails and in the snow. A couple times in the winter I put it through a lot of deep snow and she didnt blink an eye, just kept goin. I figured forsure I might get it stuck a couple of times and it had no problems. This is a pic of mine, I plan on getting it lifted up on some 35's and hopefully a winch as well this summer.

EDIT: I'd also lock the spare tire on the back, you don't want someone taking off with it.

What is the best hardware for doing that?
I need to get some hood locks also.

Congrats sir, I really like those new 4 door Wranglers. I'm in the market for a new "previously loved" car now too. My wife's pretty much taken over my Audi A4. I work at home usually so it's not critical for that but having recently moved to the burbs we need a second vehicle for sure.

Thanks a bunch.
Ya know, I kinda had my doubts at first, but now, no way !! Get one . You're gonna love it , even if it's used. I've never been a car guy if I could help it , and the Jeep fits my lifestyle perfectly. I took the plunge and bought new with extra warranty so i don't got to worry down the road. The two door has pretty much no room after the back seats. Mine fold down , and I can even sleep in it in a pinch.
