What a perfect EDC knife, if there's a better small EDC knife I can't imagine what it would be.

I love the tan scales, I like the look and they are thicker than the black ones. I got a stone washed spear point so it is easy to sharpen and hides scratches.

New from the box it was VERY stiff. I tried adding a few drops of tri-flow and opening/closing it a few hundred times but I still wasn't happy with it.

At that point, I took it apart and cleaned out all the emerson black lube thoroughly & reassembled it using a small amount of Finish Line Extreme Flouro fluorinated grease.

At that point, I put one drop of blue Loctite on the pivot screw and tightened it just to the point where there was no side to side play in the blade and it became extremely smooth at that point and waves perfectly.

I then put a mirror edge on it with my Wicked Edge. It's perfect now

Yeah, really need some pics.
My Mini 7A has smoothed out nicely with use. Great EDC size & blade shape.
Congrats

John- What's next? :)

LOL, right at the present time I was planning on saving some cash & not buying anything else for a while (yeah I know, my Wife doesn't believe me either when I say that LOL)

I have been buying/selling/modifying/racing Harley motorcycles for years & I keep telling the Wife that "this is the last one" but she never believes that either (she knows me too well).

I got such a steal on a 2nd Harley last week that I couldn't turn down & even my Wife said she was on board with this deal LOL.

Awesome pictures I can't wait to get that baby in the mail box. The only difference is that mine is waveless.

Damn, that's a nice looking knife! The tan handles go really well with the spear point blade.

Tan with the black pocket clip looks killer, nice polished edge. When I sharpened my mini 15. I did 30 degrees on the main bevel edge with the black marker, it was spot on, then just knocked the back edge burr off at 20.

You have any idea what degree you did yours at. Or did you do it free hand.

I just got 2 Mini 7A knives. I ordered one without a wave only to receive an e-mail the next week that they were releasing them with a wave. I probably would have gotten a second eventually since I like to have a backup for the knives that I carry for work. I travel a lot for work so I bought these strictly for when I am on the road and may have to stay under 3". I regularly carry a 7A and don't usually like a smaller knife but these are great. Enough handle to be comfortable and a short enough blade to stay legal in most areas.
