I bought a nice stag drop point in 440C from Mike Wilson at a craft show in Gatlinberg TN a couple of weeks ago. The quality seems really good and he was enjoyable to talked to. Anybody know anything about Mike?

Thanks,

Brad

Nice looking knife Brad.
I am a little ashamed that I do not know Mike since he is from Georgia.

Out of Knives 2000 - He is a full time maker. His first knife sold in 1985. Mike works with 440C, ATS-34 and D2 on his own designs or will work with specs.

Brad,

Nice Knife! I can't believe you passed right by the house and didn't drop in and say Hey! I live about an hour from Gatlinburg right off Interstate 24. Sorry I missed ya.

Were there alot of other Knife Makers at the Craft Show? I didn'e even hear about it on the local news or I would have tried to check it out.

Also before I forget, the elusive Sheath that I owe you is on its way to you. I'll email you with details.

Keep us posted on the performance of your new Toy!

Hi Hillbillenigma,

Didn't even connect the location. We had our board meeting in Gatlinberg. Beautiful country, really enjoyed it. They had a crafts fair going and Mike had a display. By the way, he had a bowie with maroon micarta for a good price too. He was the only knife display.

Good news about the sheath, looking forward to giving the Air Assault a good workout.

Brad
