Bought one yesterday. Should be receiving it today.
Since my last sale (unlisted) I am pretty much down to 1 high end EDC (ZT 0801BRWCF) and a few mid range to lower end.
The 770CF will join the ranks in the high end EDC.

Lastly a 0801BRWCF Hard use video is coming up. Will be similar to the ZT 561 video I did before except maybe a little bit less rigorous. The edge was reprofiled to a steeper angle, but we will see how M390 holds up.

Good to hear Luis, I have a pair of the 770 CF's and love them--in fact they have cemented carbon fiber being one of my favorite handle materials.

Nice lightweight knife that is a great slicer.

The 0770CF is nice and light. I already have one in aluminum, so I don't think I will pony up anymore money, but it is certainly worth it for anyone who wants one.

I already did the 0801BRWCF video. Hacked at a 2x4. Not as abusive as my previous videos (the point on the edge doesn't allow for it). But whatever, way more use in that video then all the limited edition ZT videos on youtube combined.

In any case I am anxious to get the 770CF. I would just buy a 777 but quite frankly it would clash with my bodega once I acquire that.

I really like mine. I've become a big fan of cf scales, especially as nice as the ones on my ZT are.
I was also a bit iffy on the blade shape being more of a Hinderer, drop point style sort of person but the shape is much more useful for all the stuff I do with it.

I really like the 770 and especially in CF. Great light weight package with a good sized blade and shape. If it was a little smoother with out the torsion bar I would still have it. Great knife regardless.

I love the look of those 0770s. I do believe I'm about to pick up one of the aluminum ones!

Just got it in. Wow I did not know ZT made knives like this.
This is quite the opposite of overbuilt.

In any case so far I am liking it but not quite loving, looks like a lean cutter. It isn't that great of a flipper though once you remove the torsion bar.

It's got average carbon fiber grip they don't seem to polish or sand the CF much if any. It does not compare to G10 obviously.
The lack of finishing means a lot of the valleys and hills in the weave are felt in the surface for added traction (where tow goes in and out of other tow). Most companies will sand it or polish these out so it's smoother and more consistent but these looks very much like they bought the carbon fiber and left the finish. It's also possible they may have machined them this way (they love their subtle CNC work that most people don't understand).

Compared to the 6k tow in the ZT 801BRWCF the 770's Carbon Fiber appears to be looser however that could potentially be the lack of finishing.

Edit: Overall it looks like the same CF that most USA makers use (most prominent example is Benchmade). Very good stuff. Much better than chinese/taiwan made knives that use carbon fiber and DEFINITELY better than Spyderco's laminated CF.

Lastly this honestly looks like ZT is aiming to knock the Paramilitary 2 off its pedestal.

I find that the cf scales on the knife provide a very nice grip under ordinary use.
They don't feel slippery and on my knife they are smooth and even with a very nice "satin" type of finish...much preferred by me.

It would be nice if they were cnc'd but if they were the knife would be much more expensive.

I have been considering one of these ever since I picked up the ZT 0801 and 0566.

Since it looks like it will be a while for newer ZTs to make it to market.

I owned my 0770cf for about a day and I broke the clip. My fault. It was too tight, so like every other knife I own, I tried to bend it out a bit...SNAP. Not very happy. Had to go the some unknown auction site and pay $10 for a pretty blue titanium one...been carrying it most every day...already time to sharpen it...factory edge is so so...

Had mine about 3-4 weeks now. It's my EDC for that long. Had done some work to mine since I got it. The first was to refinish the edge keeping the same 20 degree angle. Then came removing the sharp edges on the inside of the carbon fiber. For this I use 400 grit paper. Next was getting it to flip without so much pressure. To do this was first putting a a slight ramp in the detent hole where the ball would enter and leave the hole. The second was to increase the length of the slot the spring travels in in the stainless plate and back spacer. This made the biggest improvement to the action of the flipper. No more sore finger from flipping multiple times. I am enjoying this knife and I hope you do too.

Congrats on the purchase. Sounds like Im kind of in the same boat as you. I am down to a few higher end knives and the 770CF is what I carry the most.

Right now I have no desire to find another blade to carry often because the 770CF is just about perfect. I really like the carbon fiber ZT uses, its grippier than most and I think it looks awesome. I didnt bother removing the torsion bar since I dont mind assisted opening. Im sure I will pick up the 562CF whenever it actually shows up though. Thats the only thing I can see bumping it out of my pocket.

I am deciding to sell this knife. Can't get used to the A/O, it's annoying strong to engage, and disengage. I will stick with a SMOOTH flipper.

Anyways I liked the knife so I think I will get a 0777 before I pick up a bodega and see how I like it.
