Bought an Umfaan, question

Just added a new Umfaan to my growing collection of CR knives. Very nice. My wife even commented on how nice it was. It's a 2000 model with the seven horizontal lines on the handle. Anyone know the official name for this graphic? Also, mine has dual thumbstuds and a blued blade stop pin to match the rear spacer. Was this standard on all Umfaans, or did I just get lucky and find an upgraded one?
Thanks guys, and happy collecting.

8 and counting.
Think I'll get a Mnandi next

If I'm not mistaken the dual thumb studs and blued stop pin are standard Umfaan goodies. I prowled around a little but was unable to find the official name of your graphic. You will really like the Mnandi.

You will really like the Mnandi.

IMHO the Mnandi is the one-and-only real gent-folder.

I had this one first:

1.2.9.2%20Chris%20Reeves%20Mnandi%20offen.jpg

and because of it´s so beautiful and so nice to handle, a few weeks later I bought my next one:

1.2.6.2%20Chris%20Reeves%20Mnadi%20decorated%20offen.jpg

I think next one will be an Umfaan to make my collection complete.

Thanks guys. Darkblue, those are some great photos. I agree that the Mnandi is a great gents folder, but wanted an Umfaan first to round out my Sebenza collection. I'm rather partial to the ladder damascus Mnandi's. I will need to do some research about the steel first though. Wondering about durability etc.
