Back to the forums after a very long hiatus, (still loving my rittergrip EDC). I was looking at the CRKT Elishewitz rollocks on ebay and wanted to pick one up. I came across this one that wasn't in the correct section, hence no bidders, picked it up NIB for $5.00, anyone have any info about it? Do these Limited Edition's hold or gain value? Or is it just one of those things that nobody cares about. I haven't seen it in the green color anywhere so I was curious. Can't go wrong either way for 5 bucks.

Good score for $5...I like the novelty of the CRKT rollocks...When they came out you can buiy them almost anywhere for $20 then after a while the priced droped to $15 in most places...Now if you look these can be had for $7-8 each...regular models though I have never seen it in green, looks cool, as far as collectors value...I don't know although I am sure there are people out there who would really want one! I hear of people buying up one of each color when buying these and this one would make an excelent addition to the collection...Hopefully someone else will post more usefull information than my opinions, lol...like I said nice score for $5, if I saw it on ebay I would pay as high as $10 or $15 for it!

Congrats on the scoop,
a value increase of one hundred percent should really be possible
if that's a range that you'd call value :-)

I think we can safely say you'll never lose any money on your 5$ investment. I really can't see any of the CRKT Rollocks increasing much in value since they use low end components and they're made in Taiwan but the little knives make good light duty users... Now if you could get your hands on one of the old original Benchmade Rolox knives from back in the late 70's, early 80's you would have a real find. :D

thanks for the input guys, I wanted check this one out cause I was curious to see what the rollock was like. If I like it I'll pick up a regular black one to carry and put the limited one in the box and hold on to it.

I bought one just to see what it was like. It needed a little bit of internal modification to make it closeable with one hand, you need to shave off a little bit of the corner where the slot makes a 90 degree turn. That way when it's almost closed you can just press the blade and it pops back into the closed position. The second generation models out now have a little bit of a hook on the blade end so you can pull them back into the slot more easily one handed.
