And boy am I impressed! I got the Mini Griptilian and I've never felt such a smooooooth opening on a knife before. the 154 cm steel, the great FRN handle with great grip, I think I've found my new EDC..... at least until my next purchase. :p
It took me awhile to hop onto BM but they've got a new fan.

Try a regular Griptilian----I find the mini is too small---The Griptilian and Endura's have pretty much spoiled me for anything else.

My first Benchmade was a Griptilian (a 550). Amazing knife, specially if you consider the price.

Congratulations on a great purchase, I'm sure it won't be the last.

Tomorrow will be my first day on the job using it so I'm very anxious to see how it works out. I'm very hopeful. Thanks for the comments.

My first BM was a 550S--I also have an RSK grip, and several other BMs. Love that axis lock!

The benchmade is definitely my favorite, love the mini-griptilian 556 and close second is the larger version griptilian 551. My wife says that bigger is better, but I opt for the mini-griptilian 556 as my first choice EDC.

Once you get hooked on the axis lock, its hard to go back. Enjoy your mini grip, I love mine (557). If you find a good deal on a 940 series Benchmade, then you will be even happier.

pedropcola said it!

My first Axis-lock knife was a 550 Griptilian....and that lead to a 551, a 555, a 556, a 722, a 720, back to a 551, then a 730, a 806, and today I'm carrying my 710!

There's nothing wrong with liner-locks, frame-locks, lock-backs, and button-locks...but it's hard to go back once you have experienced the Axis-lock!

Good luck and happy cutting,
Allen.

Man, I'm loving this knife. It's perfect for me. Perfect I tell you. ha! I'm kinda happy with it. I take it everywhere with me. I can't believe how sharp I can get it and how it holds the edge. wow.

They really are quite impressive knives aren't they ? It took some getting used to the "hollow" nature of the handle...somehow initially it reminded me of a plastic toy..but I soon got over that objection and now the Cabelas full-size D2 grip is my EDC. I can get that blade scary sharp, and it holds that edge for a loooong time.

-Regards

I like the small Ritter-Grip the best.
Big knife in a small package!!
Who wouldn't like that... :)

Yes...those are very nice. I was able to get a like-new Cabelas D2 for $55 so I went that route....but those Ritter grips seem worth every extra penny. I'm exceedingly fond of their blade profile.........Ok...I need to stop now....before I talk myself into buying something I really don't need.:) ;)

Be careful!, a 555 was my first "real" knife and was the start of my "pile o knives", LOL! Congrats on your Mini!
