Well, today I stopped by the Indianapolis gun and knife show and was pleasantly surprised to see thatmguy and a big table full of Busse goodness. I've been eying Hell Razors for a long time and he had one in the exact color/handle options I have been looking for. I must have picked it up and put it back down at least half a dozen times before walking off in a daze.

I came back an hour later and bought that lil' beauty. (nothing little about it really)

I have a somewhat obsessive personality. I'm already planning my next purchase. Mike Wood was extremely friendly and I'm sure Ill be buying from him at the next show.

Now I need to find a sheath for this bad boy. What do you guys recommend? Kydex or leather? What makers? I am going to do a search of the forums for previous questions of the same ilk but if you have the inclination to jump in with your two cents, please do. Edit: reading info at http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=330784 right now.

Congrats on one of what will surely be many, and welcome.

congrats....thats a beautiful HR and Hammy is a great guy!

Welcome!

There's no turning back now. It's worse than that little NFA addiction you have there. ;)

I have the same set up, only with a 2nd Gen Glock. :D

Ugh, you said it. I've got another can on the way, an AAC SCAR-H SD. It's probably going to end up on a Keltec RFB if they can ever get the damn things shipped.

Congrats, there will be many more.

Leather, there is no one better then Chuddy Bear

Kydex, I only use Eric at Mashed Cat, but have had Okuden and been happy as well.

Nice! I looked at that knife. I ended up buying the Comp Finish Satin Jack. I'll try to get pics up later... my wife is busy with the camera right now. I also ended up having a kydex sheath with a IWB loop (instead of a TekLok) made at the show.

edited to add: I think I have to get my own camera. Again. She's using it everytime I want it...

edited to add pic of new Satin Jack, with my Badger and my Yard Guard:

That Satin Jack is extremely sharp. Me like-um much.

Thanks for the info, I will check both makers out. I have a feeling I will end up with more than one sheath per knife. Its like shoes for women.

I'll add Leatherman (Dwayne Puckett) for leather ... you wouldn't believe the quality of his work. Literally nobody is better.

Also, Dave Brown makes some very fine kydex sheaths ... with a little more than the usual kydex-huffer's style.:)

I've got that very HR down in the safes. It is my very favorite HR.

So, as others have said, welcome to our little brotherhood (and sisterhood). Guard your checkbook, but otherwise pull up a chair and sit a spell. Hope you enjoy single malt whisky.;)

Welcome to the insanity... and congrats on your first!!!

Folks have already said the sheath makers I would recommend... can't go wrong with any of them.

Hope you stick around, post a little (or a lot :D ), and have some fun!

that is a beauty. still my favorite knife that i own. love the look of that g10 (although don't like how sharp it feels with the raptor scale pattern)

So I think I have settled on a Chuddy randall design for my Hell Razor. I am a bit concerned with retention of the knife without a strap but I want the flexibility of the xback because I occasionally like to carry my knives horizontally.

Great knife, and AWESOME HD package you have there.

Welcome to the madness. You will soon be offering your NFA toys for INFI. :D

Just kidding. :D

I think a Satin Jack may be my next purchase. I like the blade geometry quite a bit.

I remember reading a thread where one of the forumites was shaving with a small busse that had what looked like an extreme tanto 3 1/2" blade. I cant remember the name of that model. If anyone has any insight maybe they can post the name of that particular knife. (Edit: I think it may be the "Public Defender")

Nice color combo:thumbup: Chuddy Bear's Randall syle pouches have great retention. Can't go wrong with something from Chuck.
