Bought My First Busse

I am blaming all of you Busse Nuts!!!! :D

I placed an order this week for an Active Duty.
It's my first Busse and it's supposed to ship next week. :)

Now I wait for it to arrive.........

BTW, I don't like leather sheaths so I already ordered a tan Kydex sheath for it.
 
Yes... I accept full responsibility. And to punish me, send me that AD for some torture testing.:p

I know you will love that AD Work, Its one of my favorites:D Now as for that leather adversion, did it start at childhood? How does it make you feel? ;) yep, an armchair psyc!:p

My aversion to leather comes from SOG, not my childhood.
I once bought a SOG Field Pup. When I put the knife into the leather sheath the blade sliced right through the leather. OUCH.

As for torture testing the AD, you can rest assured that my credit card bill will be torture in itself.

I would have bought a much bigger knife from Busse to be my first, but I wanted my first to be an EDC.
I couldn't figure out how to make a Battle Mistress my EDC. It's not quite pocket-sized and it might get funny looks during meetings at work.

Have you considered a IWB sheath???:eek: :o :eek:
 
What is an IWB sheath? (I Was Bad?) (I Want Busse?)
Too many acronyms, not enough time.

Still waiting for my AD........:)
 
An excellent choice, WFAL! I think the AD is one of the most usable in the Busse camp. Great size, shape, edge, and very easy to nearly always have it within reach.

(Did you used to listen to alot of Huey Lewis? ;) :D )

Howdy! Your knife must be really sharp to have sliced right threw the sheath.:eek: Mine caem scarry sharp! Which sheath did your Field Pup come in? SOG has a new Kydex/Leather hybrid sheath out for the Pup that is rather cool.:cool:

By the way, I should have my first Busse, I'm hoping in 4 to 5 weeks.:)
 
Wildmanh---I understand the waiting game with Busse.
Last week I sent and email (and a phone message) to Busse requesting a delivery date if I ordered an AD. I was absolutely shocked when Kassi called from Busse and said that they had them IN STOCK. I gave her the CC information right then and there. I hope to have it next week!


On the other subject==> My Field Pup came with the full leather sheath. The sheath was concave (dented inward) so it was really easy for the scary sharp pup to slice through it when the blade was inserted. I sent a letter to the president of SOG (I forget his name) about the poor design of the Pup sheath but he never responded, except to replace the sheath.

Congrats on the AD. VERY nice for an EDC! You still gonna get a Camp Tramp? Also very nice, but just too big to hide without endangering precious body parts.:eek: I tried to hide a BM, but would have ended up sounding like Michael Jackson if I sat down!:D Gave up on that idea very quickly.

Work, you lucky duck, only having to wait 1 week or so. I have to wait till probably this time next month for my BA3 to show up.

As for the Pup sheath, I think the new Leather/Kydex is an improvement over the old all leather sheath. For a knife this sharp, I sort of think it needs Kydex. FWI SOG does have a Cordura Nylon sheath avaliable that fits the Pup nicely. If thats your thing. I prefer Leather and Nylon so I'll probably get the Nylon from SOG soon.:)

Come to think of it, that Nylon sheath should be a lot like the one that my BA3 will have.:cool:
