As with all my folders, this will be a hard user for use in the field with the army. I think it was a good choice, the price and the 7 inch blade made me hesitate a bit. Didnt know if a 7 inch blade was going to be too big.

But, whats money if you cant spend it on things you can potenially depend your life on?

I got it with the desert tan finish and black magnum canvas handle.

Man, that is an imposing looking piece of cutlery - and without a doubt the best name for a knife yet. What's the purpose of the grooves?

Busse says it's to lighten the blade, but what's it shave off, a coupla ounces? Looks really cool, though.

For a field knife, 7" is the perfect size for belt or harness carry. Excellent choice.

"This pic clearly shows our patent pending Corrugated Bevel Technology (CBT).

The corrugated bevel not only greatly strengthens the blade but reduces the overall weight of the blade while reducing the cutting friction along the entire height of the bevel. "

I believe it may work on the same principle as an I beam (excess material cut away while providing the same strength) in construction. Though it won't be loaded the same way. Absolutely agree on the weight saving feature. Hope they offer CBT on their future blades as well.

That is one badass looking blade.... in fact is the first Busse I have considered buying. Good choice!!! Now go and put some battle scars on that MoFo!!!

Paint it with the blood of terrorists... God bless America, and HIS BELOVED ARMY!!!

Additionally, anything you're slicing through will have less contact area between knife and material, reducing friction. Much like how the "air pockets" on an oriental cooking knife help reduce food sticking.

If you want one you need to go to the Busse Combat website and order one now!
They are coming off the current offerings very soon. Jerry usually gives one or two days notice on the Busse Forum and then they transition to another offering.
