Bought my first WE knife yesterday….

Again with the thumstuds! The Praxis doesn’t have thumbstuds - why on earth did the feel the need to add them on this one?!

I don’t mind it with the thumbstuds but for the life of me I can’t deploy it with my right thumb. Detent is tight. I can flipper it no problem. Even spydie flick with the back stud no problem. But no go with the show side thumbstud. It’s leaving a bruise on my thumb. Maybe the detent will break in.

Try using both studs at the same time, with a pinching kind of deployment

I couldn’t open a thumb stud knife if my life depended on it. Innuendo intended.

^^^ The Beacon is my favorite WE knife and I’ve got a ton of WE knives. It’s pretty much perfect. I’ve got 6 of them.

Oh man, I’m so tempted to buy every version….I shouldn’t but I should.

I just got this Saakshi for $120 since it’s been discontinued. It reminds me of the beacon just a little shorter and with a thicker handle. Really tempted to buy the wood scales one and another cf one and make it an all black cf model.

And I broke down and bought another cf Saakshi as well as the wood handled one. Gonna swap the cf scales onto the wood one since it’s a black blade/liners/hardware. The wood should look good with the stonewashed blade/liners too.

I have a problem lol.

I've always liked the look of the Civivi Praxis but I prefer thumbstuds or blade hole for deployment. When Kaviso offered the WE version, a titatium frame lock with S35
vn, it seemed like a good value at their price . . . plus, it has thumbstuds. It does have a strong detent and using the thubstuds took a minute to figure out. Taking it apart, cleaning, and oiling helped it a bunch. I'm weird, but I like the plain jane look.
