Got mine in, finally. Cost me a mere $40 (rounded up), and dare I say, I am in love. That thing is so thick that I feel it would not be possible to damage it at all. The handles are grippy, but not overly aggressive or uncomfortable like some other people have mentioned. I love the sheath, esp. with it being reversible. The factory edge was surprisingly good, and just a little stropping made it razor sharp with a mirror edge. The blade coating is very good, and I actually like it more than my 7in. Ka-Bar. Overall, if you do not have one, WHAT ARE YOU WAITNG FOR?????? With them being discontinued, and becoming hard to find, and being made with D2, $40 is beyond a steal, it is highway robbery.

Gotta agree on this one. Only complaint is the handle size. For me, it was a squeeze for 4 fingers, I have big hands. But other than that, it is amazing. Amazon with free shipping and under $40? yes please. Great great quality, especially for the crazy low price!

i purchased two so far, the first was the drop point with serrations that i handled then gave to a friend then i picked up the tanto point plain edge. i paid 28 for both off of amazon. their price fluctuates big time. jumps from 28-79 but usually hovers around 35-38. just gotta add it to your cart and have amazon notify you when the item drops below a desired price point.
anyway the handle kinda sucks, but i just paracorded over it. i really love the little cutout around the skull crusher, in reverse grip there is a decent grip on it. blade came paper slicing sharp and needed light stropping. and as someone else mentioned the coating is good quality and the sheath is not bad at all. i thought the becker bk11/14 was one of the best knife buys on the net, but i gotta say my 28 dollar d2 kabar fin is the reigning champ.

I'm no good at thorough reviews, and I also have no clue how to upload pictures.

heres a simple lesson in uploading pics since i selfishly want to see them.

open photobucket account, its free

upload images from either your computer or phone via the photobucket app

click on pic you want to post, on the right side of the page will be 4 links, copy and paste the IMG link directly into your posts. voila!

now pics please.........

I use imageshack, but yes, same thing applies either way.

Also, what are the specs on this knife? I've done some quick looking around (during class ... *shhhhhh*), but I haven't found much info on it other than its D2, and like 9in long overall?

What is the spine thickness?

My pictures don't do the knife any justice, and likely didn't work, but there they are.

The photos are totally there, great job :).

Interesting... how do you like the curved handle on that ?

Do you have a pic of the profile?
How do you like the forward angle of the blade and the curved handle?

At first I thought you guys were talking about one of the Finn hunting knives like the Little Finn, Hunter or Skinner. After seeing those pics I know what is going on. Thats an interesting looking knife. If that curved handle is done right, it should be very comfortable for most people, or at least for me. ;) I like curved handles on some knives. Thanks for the pics!!

I love the ergos of the blade, it feels like it could chop like a cleaver. The forward curve gives it a good feel, making it fit my hand like a glove.
Also, thanks for the compliments on my pics, they turned out pretty well.

i see that of $35 shipped free from a certain site if you have Prime ;)

nice! looks like a Fin[e] knife :)

I bought one when they first hit market for $70 at SMKW on a trip to Gatlinburg and the knife was worth every penny.

Sweet, I just ordered one. I recently acquired a small TDI and I like the angled handle. I figure I'll give this a try for less than forty bucks.
