I have been enjoying this beautiful morning by practicing my primitive fire building skills. At times I use hollow tube fastened busse handle for the bearing in the bow drill method. I am wondering if anyone has ever wore out one of the fasteners doing this?

Cool...the wood was intimidated by the chopping power of the mistress and decided to light..

Edit: scales made me think BM...

I would not worry too much about wearing out the tube fastener.

Wood on stainless and micarta will take a life time to wear out.

Not to worry; Busse will be happy to replace the tube rivet under warranty in the unlikely event that you wear it through.

Jason, good idea Bro!!! "Not to worry; Busse will be happy to replace the tube rivet under warranty in the unlikely event that you wear it through."
