Bow Legged Chopper and Bushboot piggy back!

A little while back Jroden5446 shot me a PM about making a sheath for his Bow Legged Chopper. That seemed like a good challenge so I said sure. Then he explained that he had some requirements. It needed to have a Bushboot piggy backing it, have a baldric carry rig that holds the knife on a slight angle for cross draw carry and he wanted a drop leg attachment just in case.

So I went for it and this is what came of it. It was one of those designs that just came together and worked. To make it more challenging the chopper called for an open spine design which complicated things more.

Any comments and critiques are welcome.

Thanks for looking!

In the end this was a fun challenge and I am very happy with the results. Hopefully Jared likes it too.

Dude!!!!! Un-freaking-believable!! That is a home run, I am extremely happy with the way it turned out, can not wait to get this one! ( although, if anyone wants Jared to make them a BLC sheath while he has mine, let him know sooooonn....)

1st, B-E-A-U-TIMUS!!! I think it is an excellent design and even better execution!

I think that the only thing I would add, would be to shock cord the retention strap. Only because a knife that may need a hand on the sheath to draw, or re-sheath is going to be wide open to a cut strap as you try to place it back in the sheath. Just my .02.

Wow, thanks for all the kind words everyone. This really was a fun challenge and I wanted to make it as original as possible and completely functional. It helps when I start with some fantastic knives like Andy's.:)

Both of those sheaths look really good and they fit nicely together also. The baldric rig looks comfortable and quite usable. Keep up the good work!!

That is some superb sheath work. I really like the texture you put on your sheaths as well. Great design work there. Not sure about those jeans though..... :p

Agreed. Very nice work.

Hoowee, You would want a knife that big in a handy rig if you walked into a bar around here with them Utah britches :D

Hey now Grafton, not all of us wear "Utah Britches" haha. How are you?
