What is a good bow saw to have. I am tired of folding pruning saws that go dull after two camp outs. I do love my Corona 10 inch folding saw but like I said they do wear out after hard use.

I would like to have a Sawvivor but they are out of business. I do not want a Sven Saw as I don't not like the triangle design and I am not cutting just branches but I am cuting thick logs.

What I really want is a good long blade that is a very high quality blade that I can put on most any bow saw of the same length.

Is there anybody out there that makes and exceptionally high quality bow saw blade that can be re-sharpen in the field?

It is for cutting thick logs for shelter and fire making.

Take a look at the "Bob Dustrude Quick Buck Saw", it is available in 24" and 30" sizes.

I don't have any first hand experience with it, but it seems to have some good reviews.

I have a 24" and it is marvellous. Rattles a bit when stowed, but sturdy and effective.

^^^ BEST IN THE MARKET, I have both and love them.... combine them with some Bhaco blades off Slamazon and call it a day.
