I was going to add this to the previous folding saw post, but I deleted those pics,
Sooooooo ... new post.

Picked this up at Loews (spending WAAAAAY too much time there)
For $12 .... it ain't bad. Comes with 3 blades too.

Little big for a back pack, but should work well for a camp saw. Cuts great. Not too heavy. Gonna' try it on some trees growing a little too close to the house.

If you look at the third picture, the sawblade points at a little brown flask on the right edge of the picture. My bet is on something liquid :D

If you are a betting man I would "suggest" betting on Tequila
(just a wild guess though ;))

Nice looking saw, I see how you change blades. Does the tension adjust? I'm in the market for a hacksaw, and that looks versatile.

ETA you can't post a flask w/o letting us know what you drink.:)

That looks nice.
I use a bahco. It's larger maybe even to big to pack.
Have to try it out more.
Tell us how you like that one after a while.

Funny ... didn't even see the flask when I was taking the pics. (Tequila)

Gave this puppy a little work out tonight. Took off all the low lying stuff around the yard that kept taking my hat off while mowing (LOL)

Worked great ! Highly recommend it. For $12 bucks - (with 3 blades) freakin' steal.

Just an example - pine tree on the corner of the house, that was tough to drive around.
literally 2 - 3 cuts each. (gotta' love new blades)

Prob. took down another hundred small/med. limbs - no problems at all.

Cobra maybe a tad to big even for your pack, but for a day hike it would be alright I'd just be careful make sure that blade's covered up so you don't thrash your pack..

forget the flask... nice HD2500 !!!

for packing you need to try some of this action out for size :D

What saw is that in your pic ?

Yeah, this bow saw too big for a pack - good camp saw or Gen. use

For the pack/carry, been using this - works well:

Corona 10" folder. (Lowes again, $20)

Wally world has a Fiskars 7" for $10 ... amazing how cheap these great tools are.

You know your trucks. '06 2500 HD diesel. Bad, Bad Truck :D

You all might want to watch this video of a great youtuber, SkogKniv. I highly recommend subscribing to his channel, he makes great videos.

take care (when using saws, these things cut flesh as well as they cut wood)

Nice little saw. What do you mean too big for a pack, though? I've dropped a 26" bow in the pack for trips when we were planning on doing some brush and deadfall cleanup, and that was right at home over a week's hiking and cutting.

Agree, as you say if I were "planning" on doing a lot of cutting/clearing, you could through this in a pack no worries. But the 10" folder is always in mine, no matter what the plan. Wouldn't want to clear for a week with it, but it can still process some wood.
