Hey guys n girls i have a black locust stave that i bought maybe 15 years ago want to give it to somebody that wants to make a bow. It has been worked down [taperd and the handle has been rounded] Still needs a lot of work and i dont think i am ever gonna finish it. Since this is my favorite forum and i have learned so much hear want to send it to a good home and i thought there is no better place than here . So whoever want it just post and i will send it to you no charge.for the stave or the shipping the only thing is i would rather give it to somebody that knows what there doing . Will pick somebody on 2/1/10

What great gesture! I wouldn't know the first thing to do but I can think of a gut that would probably want to take this on. I'm sure he'll post soon. It would be cool for the recipient to posts pics afterward or even progress pics.

Count me in too. I have wanted to make a longbow or a flat bow for years. Thanks for your kind gesture.
 
Its gonna be a flat bow thats how its cut still needs to be tillered and you might have to beef up the handle glue a block on it to to make it a little thicker cut your nocks and back it if you choose and it will be ready to go.
 
Wow! Count me in! I would love to finish the bow and make a few arrows to match! I've got some backstrap sinew just waiting to be twisted into a string.
