hi all,
this bowie was built on order along the lines of an earlier bowie (maybe you remember..? ;)),
but reduced to black: steel, iron and ebony

some specs:
W1 forged , hamon
wrought iron
ebony

total: 36cm
blade only: 21,5cm
tapered from 6,0mm to 2,0mm
studtype-sheath

thanks for looking!

how odd. I'm at a loss for words.

Wonderful work Gerhard. Your transitions between elements and materials is flawless . I am particularly enjoying the up close photos. The texture of the wrought iron is very pleasing against the perfectly smooth ebony, not to mention the lines and balance of the overall piece.

How nice, a lot of cool things going on with this piece !
Great work, Gerhard !
..also like how you finished the ebony.
