For those interested in a excellent, but not too expensive Bowie:
Ii just received my newest knife, a Muela 61719.
Behind this uninspiring name hides a really beautifully formed Bowie knife with a 7 inch blade.
This full tang blade is made of 4,5mm thick Molybdeem Vanadium steel (which is appr. 440C, it seems), and the knife has a comfortable, pakka wood grip.
It comes with a good quality leather sheath and cost me just..... 66 Euro ! (about 79 $) including shipping to the Netherlands from budoshop-online.de in Germany).
I actually had to look a long time for a good Bowie I could afford, and although my favorite fixed knife, the Wilson Tactical model I in 5,5 inch will be mine some day, this one defenitely will do for the time being and is worth a look at www.mmuela.com.
