The 13 and 16 have pronounced Bowie tips, and the 12 is kind of Bowie as well.
For utility applications, I can really see the advantage of a Bowie in that the tip is better for fine work. The possible disadvantage I see is that there is less metal up there, so it will be weaker (especially compared to something like the 10).
As a combat knife, I can imagine that the Bowie tip could catch on the backstroke, and that could be a definite advantage as well, as long as the tip is strong enough.
Anyway, wondering what everyone's experiences and opinions are with Bowine blades???
