10" of 1086, twist Damascus fittings and a Black Walnut handle.

It may be my eyes, but I took this picture outdoors in sunlight under a light tent and there appears to be a rainbow shimmer in the blade. I think that I also see it in the second and fourth photos.
Very unexpected, I am going to have to examine this blade outdoors and see if I can see it with my naked eyes.

Peter,
Another stunning, large Bowie. To me a 10" blade is large, those fittings are some very nice Damascus and the pattern centering on the ferrule/spacer is masterful,on the buttcap as well.
Nicest Black Walnut I've had the pleasure of seeing. :D
Thanks for sharing!

What color shirt were you wearing.....? ;)

Another beauty!

I have been informed by Mr. X that the shimmer is created by the sun light and a residual coating of oil on the blade.

Great bowie. We don't often see big carbon steel pieces from Kevin on the forums, so this one is a treat. It's got that classic Cashen profile and that excellent Cashen fit and finish. Most cool.

Great looking knife. Kevin Cashen makes the total package. Jim Treacy
