I have a feeling this is going to end up on my list very soon, with no choil. I can't wait to see how it comes out.

Stomper,

What are you going to use on your handle?

Are you going satin finish or 'as forged'?

I`m not sure on my handle, but I`m going satin finish on mine. But, I will offer it either way :D Maybe Ivory paper micarta for the handle.

Hey John, does the designer get a discount?lol Just kidding!
I guess put me down for an option B w/ maple burl scales.

ooohh... that looks great John... looking forward to seeing some more pics...

If I keep getting ahead on my schedule, I`ll be making mine this month! I figure you might want to see how one looks in something besides cardboard! BTW - I just ordered $600 worth of steel this morning!

John, Could you finish the blade like this

forged finished where its shaded and your normal finish on the rest of the blade

Ivory paper micarta would look good. I've got a couple of knives with that material; nice stuff.

So John, what do you think about a blood groove to really make these suckers look bad-ass? I think they're frivolous, but what the hell, sometimes frivolous is good.

Unfortunitely I don`t have a mill.

I have some 1/4" scrap metal out back and a router fitting for the dremel. I bet I can rig up a simple guide. Then again, I think I can do a bunch of stuff that it turns out I can't do. :) I'll try it next weekend.
