Does anyone have one of these? I assume they are recently released as I have only seen them offered on one site. They look really nice. I have yet to buy an Emerson as the price seems a little high to me but this might be my first.
Any info/impressions would be appreciated.

Thanks

CQC-13 is awesome! Just came out... Check out TAD Gear and they have for a cheaper price.

that is a great looking knife! i've been using a spyderco chinook on and off for a while, this looks like the knife that might replace it.

Any suggestions? Tad and knifecenter are the only places I have found them so far and the price difference is significant. Is there somewhere I am missing?

btw. it looks like my first Emerson is going to be a persian so maybe the bowie will be the second.
Very much looking forward to getting my hands on an emerson finally.

if its the same knife (ie not a spec edition-etc) i would purchase at the cheapest place i could find as long as its a good legit site - ya might try 888knivesareus.com they have EKI's ............

Anyone know if they have increased the liner thickness on the CQC13 and the other new models?

cds1,
AFAIK only the customs have thicker (0.090") linerlocks. The productions are still at 0.050". (This is disregarding the HD-7 and CQC-12, as framelocks.)

I just received a CQC13 for Christmas and it is, by far, my favorite Emerson folder...and that is saying something!:)
The handle design is terrific- no other knife I've used locks into the hand as well. I also love the bowie blade shape. It is the perfect self defense knife for me.

I am a very proud owner of this model.

It immediately replaced a custom folder that I carried every day for a long time, the moment I removed it from the box.

Ernie hit a home run with this bowie...timeless, waved...awesome.
