Bowie for camping

Hi guys,

Have been looking for a nice bowie (to use) for a while now. Have previously considered a Patton ("Last of the Dogman") as well as the Becker BK17 and Kabar USN Mark1 (with the leather stacked handle). Haven't quite made up my mind really, so was wondering if you guys could recommend any others that you have owned/used that you think would be worth my time looking into.

Simple spec: looking for 4"-6" blade that will be used for general camping duties - not going into any battles with it. Price ... say anywhere up to $200.

Thanks very much.

Joe

see if someone can make you a custom? There are some new makers out there that do great work and the prices arent bad either because they are new.

There is a huge chasm between the Patton you mention and the Becker and the Kabars.
I doubt you can get a Patton for $200 anywhere.

Beckers and KaBars are nice. Check out the KaBar Big Bowie.

Have you considered ENTREK? They have Bowie-style knives in the desired prie range.
