When I am building an inventory for a show I know that most buyers are looking for a hunter/camper so that style is what dominates my table. However, there is usually a couple of rigged out cowboy shooters looking for something that would fit their outfit so I built this one hoping there will be a shooter looking for a knife.
I forged this from 3/16 52100 and textured the flats to look like the knife came from a rusty old wagon spring, forced a patina on the grind and dyed the bone handle to give the knife some age. The guard was forged from an old wrought iron wagon tire and etched to bring out the grain. The sheath has enough belt loop to fit over a gun belt.
