I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

This is what got my attention and made me pull the "buy now" trigger (Yangdu's photo)

Most pictures from Himalayan Imports do not give credit to the spine of their blades. Look at this 3/8 inch beast

Simply put, this is the best sub 100$ knife I've seen in my life.

I'm honored and proud to say it's mine. Thank You HI.

I'm happy for you man. Is that horn on that beauty, I'd forgotten that. I don't think I've seen a horn handled one before. Bakta sure knows how to make a Bowie, that's for certain.

I'm still kind of anxious when HI gets semi caught up to have them make my Micro Mini AK version. I'm even pondering getting about a dozen, so I can give them to a few of the members here for past help and favors etc.

Not sure a dozen is even enough.

Great pix and post, thank you for sharing

yeah love the knife, I got all my bowies mini and full sized in horn-- horn is var purty i even discounted bowies at first , but these changed my mind

I've been resisting these bowies but that shot of how thick that spine is just destroy the last of my self control. I surrender!

At first they didn't sing to me at all, just didn't strike a cord, but Steely talking them up and then getting one in my hand changed all that instantly. I guess I'm an HI Bowie convert. Mine is 10 1/4" with that same thick spine, dang I love it.
Makes me want the whole set all the way up to the Maus like ndog has. Wife will not be pleased when that day comes. But I will be overjoyed is that's possible.
I take my Bowie with me everywhere now, if not on my belt, it's in the little bag on the front of the chair, it actually works well there. The size of some of the eyes when I pull it out to open an envelope!!!, you'd think they never saw a letter opener before?

It reminds me a little of the Condor Rodan, my favorite small outdoors knife. Except 5 times thicker and 10 times better looking. It's time to upgrade.

If you like the AK Bowie, you'll love the Munk Chunk Bowie. For example: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1072832-Munk-Chunk-Bowie-for-5-28?highlight=munk

That one is 15" long and 35 oz, with a 1/2" thick spine. I have one of the same size and it is a massive chunk of steel. Feels lighter than one might expect, because the chiruwa handle and relatively short blade puts the center of gravity close to the hand. Bhakta did some of the same length with a weight of 43 oz. Not suitable for delicate work (to put it mildly) or for carrying long distances, but very impressive blades.

congrats on getting that beauty!!!! shes a real good looker.i want one.
much respect and Merry Christmas

Wow that is big. I'm seriously thinking of asking for a special order... I call it the Munk Chunk Cleaver
I just Photoshoped the above (pasting bark on the tip to make it shorter, please forgive me for the sacrilege.)

I really really picture this in my kitchen.

Sorry, but the the "Munk Chunk Bowie" is already also called the "Munk Chunk Cleaver"........

We can call it the Mini Munk Chunk Cleaver! I should be in marketing! Ya think. Course then we'll have to even the scale and have an extra giant Munk Chunk Cleaver for ndoghouse, I thinking 30" 7 1/2 pounds 1 3/8" at back strap, we can have a removeable caster on the front to wheel it around.

It's such a good time to mess with you guys.

They'll have to actually carve in to the chriuwa handle to make it fit in your hand. No wood or bone covers needed.

I wont both a munk chunk mini cleaver and a wheel around munk chunky super sword
