Finished this order up just in time for a Christmas deliverly.

Bowie - OAL 14 1/4" - 9 1/8" W-2 blade. Sharpened top clip.
Hardware is 248 layer damascus with a Ironwood handle. Sheath was
made with the help of Mr. Longs DVD with deer skin lining.
Hawk - 3 " cutting edge. The hawk and caps are all the same damascus on
both pieces, 248 layers. Handle nicely figured curly maple with a deer skin wrap.

Thanks for looking,

Bill

VERY good looking set, Bill.
Is the hawk head stacked sideways..?

Any pics of the sheath opening..?

That would make my Christmas. Both of those are very nice.

Can't decide which one I like better so it's good they're a set. :)

Same question here, Russ.
That Bowie is killer, but that Hawk is nothing short of killer.
And the Damascus configuration really sets it apart.
Take the rest of the week off, Bill.

Both Phenomenal.
Especially like your Damascus in the Hawk.
Someone's going to be very happy.

A total package. Great lines and hamon on the Bowie, and that hawk is indeed killer.

Oh man, THAT would make an outstanding Christmas gift, one to remember!

Very very nice work.

That is an outstanding set. Each piece stands on its own merit, but they combine to make something really special. Great work.

Thanks everyone for the great comments. This was a fun project.

Russ- yes, Its was drifted with the layers out exposing all the layers. Makes for an interesting look, kind of like wood grain.

Merry Christmas to All,

Bill

Bill,
That is truly an amazing set. I just love the shape of that Bowie and the pattern in the hawk blade is gorgeous. There is so much going on there that one picture just doesn't do it all justice. I have been thinking about forging a hawk and knife set for some time and I think you've inspired me to go for it. Thank you for posting!
Mike
P.S. Love the avatar of Gus!

You sure wear the mantle of the MS title well. These are wonderful. That hawk though... boy that is some nice. :D
