Hello guys! I have been away for some time (I know, I always say that...), but I would like to show the last piece I made. Unfortunally, I'll not be able to make the Blade Show this year, but my friends Ricardo Vilar and Sandro Boeck will be there, and I'll send at least one knife trough them (not this one, already sold).
This bowie has 10" blade and 15" overall lenght, forged in a variation of my Merovingian Pattern, full integral, with false edge in english style, and my keyhole fit on the ebony handle. The contour of the keyhole was carved and protected from etching, creating a beautifull frame. The stamp was gold inlayed. The sheath is leather, covered with ostrigh skin, and has a damascus tube on the strings. Hope you enjoy it.

Nice to see you posting another of your creations. Sorry that you won't be at the Blade Show this year Hope to see you there next year.

Thank you, Rodrigo. You are the number one, most inspiring maker alive for me.

You're work is greatly appreciated.

That is incredible!!!! +1 with Michael. Very inspiring. The keyhole fit is just....... can't even come up with the words. Nothing would do it justice.

Ya know........whether it is trying to learn guitar or knife-making or whatever, there are those people that just inspire me to keep moving forward and do better. Then there are people like this that make me wonder why I bother. As the old Indian in "the Outlaw Josey Whales" says, " I shall endeavor to persevere". Exquisite work Mr. Sfreddo.

Amazing stuff my friend! And your excellent photographic lighting
brings out the beauty of your truly wondrous Damascus!!!

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Breath taking.... Who is the lucky SOB who is getting that masterpiece.

Wish it were me... Although I'm sure we all feel that way.

Jeff

Thanks for sharing. Any time I see your name, I hurry and click the thread. Love your knives.

Always a treat to see a new knife from you, Rodrigo.
MAD SKILLZ!
Thanks for giving us a peek !

That is taking the "keyhole" fitment to another level, and as usual, the damascus is amazing!

Thanks for posting it Rodrigo. I was hoping to see you at Blade, hopefully another year.

Peter

Rodrigo we will miss seeing you at the show my friend. What can I say about the bowie, just magnificent. Beautiful piece and I know the new owner is thrilled.
Take care

I agree, this is even more impressive than what Ron Newton showed a few weeks ago. Where will this end......I can't wait to see.

Hello guys! Thank you so much for the comments, so kind as always! This keyhole fit is the best I got so far, I'm finally getting this right.
Here's some other works, hope you enjoy.

Muruwah:
This integral bowie was forged in random patterned damascus, composed of O1/15N20 steels, with 10" blade and 15 1/4" overall length. The handle is mammoth, with stainless spacers with coin edge work, and domed pins. The guard, part of the blade and the full tang, was inlayed with silver, copper and gold, in a floral motif. The sheath is leather, covered with ostrigh skin, and a damascus tube on the strings.

Pampeana:
This integral gaucho knife was forged in turquish damascus composed of O1/15N20 steels, with 9" blade and 14" overall length. The ebony handle was assembled in my keyhole style, as the pommel. The collar section is file worked, and the stamp on the spine is gold inlayed. The sheath is leather with shark skin inlay in the same pattern or the handle, and finished with turkish damascus button.
