Here is a set that I just finished. The Bowie blade is 11 3/4" while the hunter is 6". Both are forged from 5160H, have stainless fittings, and sport madrone burl handles. I really enjoy these sets and also find them challenging as well. Thanks for looking.....

I really enjoy these sets too. ;) This looks to be another terrific pair - both knives look to be as clean and crisp as can be.

Hey, I KNEW that wood looked familiar! ;) :)

Me and Pete got together a while back and bought a huge chunk of this wood off Ebay and I cut it up into giant pieces and sent it off for stabilization. I have yet to do anything with my supply, but I see that Pete put some of his to very good use. Great looking stuff, as usual, Brett!

How was this wood to work with?

Man, it's just one after the other :). Great knives dude. Are these going with you to the Fisk Invitational?

Suberb! Is it a trailing point on that Bowie? I can never tell from a photo!

Cheers,

Stephen

Actually I cut that block into pieces Danbo. :D :p

Nice looking set. They go very well together. I'll bet some one is gonig to be very pleased

Thanks for the comments.

Stephen, the Bowie does have a slight trailing point, which is often difficult to see in photos.

Matt, these are not part of the show knives. I have several in progress and they will now get full attention. Hopefully they will be finished in time! :)

The wood worked easily and has a nice satin look to it. I ended up taking it to 2000 grit by hand to achieve it's best look.
