Hi everyone! Here is a bowie I just finished up. Blade and guard steel is 1084, handle is dyed sambar stag. This is the fourth bowie I've completed and so there were are few firsts for me on this knife. The dye job didn't work as well as I'd hoped but there was no going back. I used leather dye and I was surprised how deep the dye sunk into the antler. I was hoping to sand away the dye from the high spots of the antler. I also attempted a clay wrap for the hamon but ended up edge quenching with the clay on as well. I could tell the clay wasn't working out.
Let me know what you think and if you have any feedback. Thanks

I see them now. Very nice mate. I think you should celebrate that with a Sleemans Honey Brown! Have one for me also!
Cheers Keith

I really like that beatuiful job, there's something about a stag antler bowie that really appeals to me.

Thanks for the compliments guys! Much appreciated!
