Bowie knife forum?

If you really want to sell the idea, you'll have to make a list of all bowie threads to show they have enough of a presence here to warrant their own forum.

Why not?
Just like the afore mentioned knife types, the bowie, in my opinion, should warrant at the very least consideration as a stand-alone forum.
It is an awsome tool / weapon, and an interesting "slice" of Americana.

I don't think that it's BladeForum's position that the Bowie is trivial. You likely won't find a BFC member here who thinks Bowies *aren't* awesome tools and weapons.

The question is how often people devote entire threads discussing them. That may not be often enough to warrant the time and effort necessary to create, sustain, and moderate the standalone forum.

And while you may find many posts that mention Bowies, they may largely be in context of discussions more appropriate for other standalone forums.
