Bowie Knife Help ID

Hello, and thank you for looking. I have this older Bowie knife that appears to be Arkansas style. It measures 18” total with a 12” blade length. I was wondering if anyone could offer knowledge on origin or age.

Also, I was wondering if the blade could or should be cleaned and, if so, how to go about it.

looks like an amature version of the iron mistress. The handle looks like a re-purposed furniture leg.

It's Indian. 1970's or later, sold to reenactors and the budget knife crowd. I can't find a pic of that one right now, but you can see a similar handle on this D guard version -
