Hi everyone, peace!

One of recent works. It wAs inspired by some random old knives, but in fact I was given the blade and just dressed it as I could, the way I found. At first it was hard, began to draw some curved anatomic handle...
well it is what it is, we here not about story to tell))
Bearing steel blade 205/45/5mm. Desert ironwood on handle, white metal and brass furniture. Total handle size is 128mm.
With all respect,
Leonid

Beautifully finished knife! The guard really sets it off, and the sheath work is excellent as well.

...and I'm noticing first the variation of the 'dogbone' handle and how smooth that looks.

An artist and VERY skilled craftsman.

Good thread.

Beautiful work, it looked smaller until I saw the in hand shot. That thing is a beast :)

beautiful graceful and flowing lines throughout the project. A very fun piece to be able to play with I would think.

It's like a dog bone bowie and and coffin bowie had an attractive child.

I like it a lot!

ha-ha, that's true, I've just got what a dogbone handle is. Actually, I'm a bit out of tradition, didn't see the difference and thought it's all coffin shapes))

Thank you all!

I was thinking the same thing. It did not look so big at all. I was thinking medium length. Then I saw that picture of the blade in hand. Wow, it is a beast indeed. Beautiful blade. I honestly feel that an advertised blade should include some hand picture. I have asked this from several sellers on the forum. When you see a blade in hand, it really tells a story. I feel you miss lots when you just see a blade posed. Thank you again for the post, wonderful blade.

What a behemoth and a beauty with out of the box lines to the blade and handle. Like it a lot.

A very special handle IMO - very much in the Russian handle tradition but to me also vaguely coffin handled with just a hint of dogbone (well, at least to my eye - I might be barking up the wrong tree). Very much out of the ordinary and beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

A extraordinary Russian Harpoon Bowie.
