I'm looking for a decent, not too pricey, bowie knife or bowie style. Say around 7 inches or so. Any suggestions? Not looking to spend more then $150?

I would suggest the Western W49. Preferably 1970's vintage. You see them on ebay very often and right in your price range. It's a hell of a knife for the money. Holds a nice edge and can take a beating.

I've looked at the Recon Scout. It's one of the knives I'm considering. The one thing I don't like is the handle and the sheath. I'm just partial to either wood or leather handles and leather sheaths.

Other's I'm looking at are the Beretta Stampede Bowie, Entrek Bison, Entrek Buffulo, and the Ka-Bar Black Fighter. It's just rare to find the Entrek Bison for $150 or less from what I'm finding.

I'm going to take a look at the others mentioned.

If I were to buy a bowie today, I would look long and hard at this :

The Northwoods Cowboy Bowie....mirror polished high carbon 1095 steel blade in a very usable 5 3/4" length, genuine Sambar stag handles, traditional leather sheath, reasonably priced.......I don't think I would ever become jaded with this knife. But...that's just me.

I Need To Know What The Knife Laws Aer For Kansas And N Dakota. I Need To Know If I Can Even Have A Bowie Knife Legally

Good looking knife Ebbtide and Gramps. Just looking for one a little bigger, and I'm not to partial to stag. I much prefer leather washer or wood. Just my preferance. I like the feel of those.

If I was going to go for one smaller then 7 inches, I'd probably go for the SOG Bowie II. It's got everything I'm looking for, just a bit smaller.

What size do you need? Sog makes some pretty good knives, that I think fall in that range. Of course a Kabar won't let you down.

I just got a Bark River Rogue Bowie, it doesn't look exactly like what we picture in our minds when you use the word "Bowie", but from what I've read it is based on the earliest examples of Bowie knives being made shortly after the Sandbar duel. In any case, it's a pretty impressive knife. They can be found in the ~ $150 price range depending on handle material.

I have to agree with the Blackjack recommendation.
It sounds like exactly what you're looking for -- classic bowie style (modeled after the Randall 1), 7" blade length, stacked leather washer handle, priced just over 150$ (~160$ IIRC).
