Ok i'm looking for a bowie style knife, budget is around $60 - $100 tops...would like antler handle, really like crown antler handles but it may be a little unrealistic for the price. I've seen the cheap damascus ebay bowies but they probably wont be of usable quality, I'm into traditional styling so not looking for neo-bowies that are getting around now. Would prefer:

- carbon steel blade (love the aged look of a carbon blade)
- antler handle or tight grain wood
- decent looking buttcap or stag crown (more so the latter, i like a good single piece handle)
- over 5" of blade length, but willing to look at shorter if the quality is higher

Please provide links or contact info for where to obtain any recommendations...I know threads like this are done to death, but dont want to waste my money while I'm in the US on rubbish (didnt find much i liked in ft worth and heading back to kansas tomorrow).

Thanks guys, really appreciate your time.

check out Bark River Knives, on KnivesShipFree.com, they make some sweet Bowie's! A2 steel for most of them, I believe.

i was looking on there last week and most seem to be around the $200 mark which is a little steep to what the wife will let me spend this trip. :p
