Here's a new little knife: a 6 inch W-2 Bowie/Skinner, with wrought iron fittings and natural stag taper. It's a take-down, and the Wrought/Blackwood takedown tool holds spare assembly pins. It's soon to be on it's way across the pond.

Thanks to Karl Anderson, I've become a fan of the take down style, and this one is really outstanding in execution! The blade style is one I am very enamoured with, but that Hamon is really what sets this one off! And again, thanks to Karl and Raymond Richard, I've grown fond of wrought iron fixtures - I know they take more care than modern steels, but the look is awesome. And while I'm not really a fan of stag, I think it just brings the whole look in line with the overall idea, highlighted by the coloration of the stag.
Only question I have would be to know if there is a sheath with it, and does it have a place to keep the take down tool??? That would make it a really over the top piece of kit!
Thank for sharing!

Ooh, just as a hunter should be.... and more!

Fantastic.

Love it. Curves in all the right places...and more. Super looking large hunter/bowie, for sure.

I was pleasantly surprised to see this photo. I love the blade shape and the handle and guard. The only thing that is missing to me is a spacer, that would make it perfect. Still love it though..

Thanks for the comments and "likes," guys.

This was an interesting one for me. The knife is as exact a presentation of the sketch that the client sent to me as I can make.

The butt-cap is a little slicker and more domed, but the rest is a just solid version of what I see when I look at the drawing.

Maybe I'm not explaining it too well, but this knife existed in the client's mind. He drew it. It popped into existence in my mind, and all I had to do was move my hands around the steel and stag.

There's a cousin of this one lurking in my brain now, though...

A lot of work expertly executed as usual John. I'm sure your customer will say the same once he has whipped the drool from his mouth.

That is what is known as "the meeting of the minds". Surely no mindless effort here and the presentation is top notch.
